A GIANT PILE OF CAT FOOD?
Posted on March 9th, 2014
The way I see it, there is a conflict between our desire to fight for this life we live and our supposed faith that we are going to eternal bliss after it. Yes, I understand that we want to live for ever to be there for our families, etc., etc., etc. But, if we truly believe that we will be reunited in heaven, that probably doesn't hold water with me.
What brought me to think about this, you ask? Mountain lions. The sign below is posted at Kerrville Schreiner Park. My buddy is there now camping with his family. I am going tomorrow. We have been joking back and forth about mountain lions for about an hour now on Facebook. I remember being nervous about hiking on the park trails in the past because of the sign. But, I came to terms with it. I decided that, if God wants to call me home by turning me into a giant pile of cat food, I can't do anything about it. I will take precautions. I will stay alert. But in the end, it is up to God when, and how, my life will end. Therefore, I shall not fear.
