The way I see it, our current two-party system is dangerously creating a lot of harmful discord among our people. Maybe it is time to rethink it. The following is what I was going to post on Facebook. Then I decided not to, as I don't want to see all of my friends bickering over a post of mine.

---Y'all know I don't like to get political on Facebook. My folks raised me not to talk about politics or religion in public. Some of my Facebook friends are not so filtered. Many of my democrat friends keep whining about how awful the current administration is. Many of my republican friends keep whining about how horrible the opposition is. I just can't understand how anyone can be so party blind that they only see the bad in the other party- never the bad in their own.

---Personally, I don't believe in that old RED vs. BLUE dividing line in American politics anymore. I think the majority of Americans are somewhere in the middle. We are PURPLE. We need to ban together and vote the majority of those currently holding a position in Washington out and start with new fresh leadership that is not looking at our country through tainted and jaded partisan eyes.
