The way I see it, I should be able to use an eye glass prescription for as long as I am happy with the vision it provides. N2S broke his glasses. We went to get him a new pair. Because his prescription was 14 months old, he was turned away. Evidently, in the state of Texas, you cannot get new glasses or even new frames with a prescription older than 12 months. Jared and I get our eyes checked every two - three years. I have worn glasses for for 48 years. I know when I need a new prescription. This law will only hurt my eye doctor. If I am getting new glasses within two years of a checkup, you can bet that mine are broken. I won't take the time to see my eye doctor. I will go to an eye wear store that is partnered with an eye doctor in the next office for same day service. Jared can't even see our eye doctor until July 11th. He made this comment, which I totally agree with: It's just my bad luck that I want to buy new glasses. If we had gone to a gun store, I could have bought whatever I wanted, and we'd be home by now!
The way I see it, forcing me to get a new prescription every year it’s just a way for eye doctors to make money. Besides, with the price of glasses nowadays, the average wearer cannot afford a new pair every year. I know I can’t.
