The way I see it, people who preach at the rest of us about their environmental beliefs, their animal rights beliefs, or their healthy dietary beliefs usually only take their own practices so far. As long as their "sacrifices" aren't too hard for them and make them look good they are all over it. I know a woman who harps on others for eating meat. She tells us how much the production of meat is hurting the environment. But, this very same woman would rather take her car to the store one block from her home to buy her vegies, than be caught dead walking. Evidently, damaging the environment to save her a little exercise Is on the okay list. Another woman I know moans and nags about how we live in a throw away environment that creates trash that ruins the environment and ruins animal habitats all over the world. But, she uses the drive-throughs wherever she goes. Her justification? It is so much easier for her with kids in the car. Evidently, conveniences that benefit her are on the okay list. One last woman I will mention, feels the need to wag her tongue about the evils of any food she sees us eat. The plastic container will kill us. The salt will kill us. The sugar will kill us. Then she sits there guzzling her energy drink instead of eating a nutritious meal. If you call her on it, she says she needs the energy without a bunch of calories. Evidently, unhealthy substances that benefit her calorie count are on the okay list.
