The way I see it, Walmart is responsible for the problem we are having in our country with people not staying to the right. It is a growing problem on the streets, in the malls, and in the halls of all of our buildings. The flow of traffic is messed up because people no longer seem to get the concept.

Why do I blame Walmart? That's because Walmart did not follow the stay to the right rule when designing their super-centers. I get that they needed a place to put the shopping carts. However, they could have done a better job of accounting for that. If, you don't get what I am talking about, go to a Walmart super-center. On one side, you will enter through the right door and the carts will be to your right. At the other end of the building, you will enter through the left door, and the carts will be to your left.

Old timers, such as me, who have many years of , "Stay to the right" running through their heads, will inevitably use the wrong door at that misaligned end of Walmart. However, the younger people are all learning that you can go in either door. That's why Christmas at the mall is such a nightmare. You now have to zigzag through crowds of people walking in any direction they please. There is no flow. And, for this, I blame Walmart!
